Zonta Club of Traverse City is a hands-on service organization and supports a variety of organizations throughout the Grand Traverse Region that support the mission of Zonta of advancing the status of women.

Grants

Congratulations to the 20243 grant recipients! We are proud to support these worthwhile organizations through the fundraising efforts of our members.

  • Provide access to comprehensive training for new WRC advocates during their first year of employment. Training conducted by the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCEDSV) focuses on survivor-centered approaches, trauma-informed care and social justice principles.

  • Leadership Team to attend the 2024 National Children’s Alliance Leadership Conference recognizing the tremendous impact on staff of a state-level conference.

  • Professional development budget dollars for 20 female workers at CFS Traverse City locations for training and certifications.

  • Provide financial assistance to low-income females for tuition costs for their special learning needs.

  • Family Road to Recovery Program to assist families affected by substance use disorder. Participants receive education onaddiction, co-dependency, trust, enabling, healthy boundaries and communication to improve relationships with loved ones struggling with addiction or in recovery.

  • Project LINK (Leveraging Inclusivity Nurturing Knowledge) to fortify infrastructure, expand inclusive programming, educate the community and foster deeper connections through strategic partnerships.

  • Recycle-A-Bicycle (R-A-B) provides bicycles to economically disadvantaged individuals and families, as well as those experiencing homelessness.

  • Support one year of literacy materials for MIHP (Health Department) enrolled babies and their siblings up to age 6 in Benzie and Kalkaska counties.

  • Back-to-School Shoes program serves the five county area (Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau) and provides shoes, socks, vision screenings and school supplies.

  • Young Company Summer programs expansion to offer quality theatrical camps to over 200 more children and families. Grant will fund the initial rental fee for a larger space in the GT Mall.
